About this course

Certificate in Brain Science for Disability Advocacy & Inclusion — a fully bilingual (English + हिंदी), easy-read, accessible certificate rebuilt from the Manovikas NSMH-06 national seminar on brain science.

You will learn: the brain as the master organ and its three big parts; the skull, meninges and cerebrospinal fluid; the four lobes and key deep structures; neurons, the myelin sheath and neurotransmitters; how structure, cells and chemistry give rise to disorders and to uneven ability in IDD; the brain-network basis of ADHD and specific learning disabilities; the Brain-Based Intelligence Test and the COGENT, PREP and Math cognitive-intervention programmes; real good practices from self-advocacy to supported decision-making; and how to turn brain science into advocacy and inclusion.

Content is drawn from the seminar teaching of Prof. Mina Chandra, Dr Pooja Jha Nair and colleagues, and the Manbhavan Mitra Mandali self-advocacy story. Every lesson offers easy-read summaries, icon cards, Key Idea and New Word boxes, ISL key-term links, a quick self-check and a reflection. Complete all lessons to receive your MIHE certificate.
