How Manovikas Institute for Higher Education (MIHE), the academic wing of Manovikas Charitable Society, handles information you give us through this website.

1. Who we are

Manovikas Charitable Society, 60-A Radhey Puri Extension 1, Swami Dayanand Marg, Delhi – 110051, India, is responsible for the information collected on this site. Questions about this policy go to egyanshala@manovikas.family.

2. What we collect

Access requirements and meal preference	To make reasonable adjustments and arrange catering
Payment reference and amount	To confirm your registration and issue receipts
IP address, browser, timestamps	Security, fraud prevention and diagnosing faults

What we do not collect

We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN, CVV or net banking credentials. Payments are processed entirely by Razorpay. We receive only a payment reference, the amount and whether it succeeded.

3. Why we use it

To register you, give you access to courses and issue certificates.
To contact you about a programme you have registered for.
To meet regulatory obligations, including reporting to the Rehabilitation Council of India.
To improve our courses, using information in aggregate rather than individually.
To send updates about our work — only if you asked us to, and you can stop at any time.

4. Who we share it with

Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) For RCI-approved CRE programmes, we are required to submit each participant's name, CRR number, and attendance record to RCI after the programme. This is how your CRE points are credited — without it, they cannot be. We ask for your consent to this at registration, and if you do not consent you may still attend but points cannot be awarded.

We also share information, only as far as necessary, with:

Razorpay — to process your payment. Governed by their own privacy policy.
Our email and messaging providers — to deliver confirmations, certificates and, where you have opted in, newsletters.
Our hosting provider — which stores the data on servers in India.
Government bodies, auditors or funders — where we are legally obliged, and normally in aggregate.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.

5. How long we keep it

Account and course records — while your account is active, and for 3 years afterwards, so certificates can be re-issued and verified.
Certificate and CRE attendance records — retained indefinitely. A certificate must remain verifiable, and RCI records must be reproducible on request.
Payment records — 8 years, as required for financial and tax records in India.
Technical logs — 12 months.

6. Your rights

You may ask us to:

show you what we hold about you;
correct anything that is wrong;
delete your account and personal data, subject to the retention periods above;
stop sending you newsletters — every one carries an unsubscribe link;
withdraw consent for anything you previously agreed to.

Write to egyanshala@manovikas.family. We respond within 30 days.

One honest limit: we cannot delete a CRE attendance record that has already been submitted to RCI, because it is no longer ours alone and forms part of a statutory register.

7. Keeping it safe

The site runs over HTTPS.
Passwords are stored hashed, never in readable form.
Access to participant data is limited to staff who need it.
Payment credentials never touch our servers.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you and the relevant authorities promptly rather than quietly.

8. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. We also store your accessibility preferences — text size, contrast, easy-read mode — so you do not have to set them each visit. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Blocking cookies will prevent you from logging in.

9. Children

This platform is intended for adults — professionals, students in professional training, parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly create accounts for children. Where a course concerns a child, we ask about support needs in general terms and do not collect identifying information about that child.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and for significant changes we will email registered learners.
