Archiving & Preservation

How we keep published research available for the long term.

Digital Preservation

Every article published in PRAGYA is deposited in Zenodo, the open research repository operated by CERN and developed under the European OpenAIRE programme.

Deposit is part of our publication workflow, not an afterthought. On publication each article receives a permanent Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and its full text and metadata are stored in CERN's data centre, independent of this website. If this journal's own servers were to become unavailable, the published record would remain accessible through the DOI.

Independent storage

Full texts and metadata are held at CERN, separate from our own hosting.

Permanent identifiers

Every article carries a DOI that resolves for the long term, regardless of URL changes.

Harvestable metadata

Records are exposed to OpenAIRE and to indexing services through Zenodo and our OAI-PMH endpoint.

Persistent Identifiers

PRAGYA assigns a DOI to every published article. DOIs are registered through Zenodo and take the form 10.5281/zenodo.NNNNNNNN. Each resolves to the version of record.

Corresponding authors are required to supply an ORCID iD, which is published with the article and deposited with the DOI record, so that authorship is unambiguous and machine-readable.

Repository & Self-Archiving Policy

Authors may deposit their work in any repository they choose, at any time, with no embargo.

Version May be deposited? Embargo
Preprint (before review) Yes None
Accepted manuscript (after review) Yes None
Published version (version of record) Yes None

This applies to institutional repositories, subject repositories, preprint servers, personal websites and departmental pages. We ask only that the deposited copy links to the article's DOI, so readers can find the version of record.

Posting a preprint before submission does not count as prior publication and will not affect our consideration of a manuscript.

Metadata Availability

Article metadata is published in several machine-readable formats so that libraries, indexers and search services can harvest it:

  • JATS XML for each article
  • BibTeX and RIS citation exports
  • Google Scholar (Highwire Press) citation tags on every article page
  • OAI-PMH endpoint for bulk harvesting
